Politics Vs The Watercooler – Political Protocol For the Workplace
On the stage in political theatre, we as a nation have been spectators and participants of the greatest, most suspenseful and dramatic miniseries -The Presidential Election of 2008. No wonder this has been our country’s current recreation. Do you recall the old adage that politics is the only game for adults?
The players/candidates must be willing do all that can be done to win or they should not be in the public life. Victory is decreed by demonizing your opponents by exchanging vitriol verbal blows. We as the spectators/voters thrive on a culture of a dog-eat-dog mentality. Thus, the metaphor of the theatre sets the stage for “Blood Sports.”

Politics Of Summerlin, Nevada
The political district of Summerlin, Nevada is one that can be quite confusing. In fact, the community of Summerlin is covered by two political authorities. When you enter the northern part of Summerlin, Nevada, you are actually still in a part of Las Vegas. You have to go further north than Charleston Boulevard for it to still be considered Las Vegas. This part of the community is still governed by Las Vegas.
When you go below Charleston Boulevard you are entering the part of Summerlin, Nevada that is ran by Clark County, Nevada. There are various divisions of the community that are run by differing associations. These associations are often called “master associations”. They have names that go with their location and placement. For instance, there is the Summerlin South, the Summerlin North, the Summerlin West, and the Summerlin Centre. These associations help regulate certain parts of the community within their areas.

The Politics of Hope
Throughout history political leaders have used the Politics of Fear to motivate the public into supporting their agendas. If the general public believe that something or someone threatens their lives, livelihoods, or lifestyles they tend to concede power to government and authority figures. This makes it easy for unethically savvy leaders to make just about whatever they wish to have happen – happen.
Sometimes the Politics of Fear are frightfully effective. After WWI the Nazis managed to convince the public that Jews were gong to take everything away from them. The German citizens were told that the Jews were a threat to their livelihoods and lifestyles. The citizens of Germany gave their power away to the Nazis and found themselves living in a harsh police state that committed the largest genocide in history.
